All sites across House of Fraser’s operations, including stores and distribution centres, have committed to support their local Action for Children service through a combination of fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness. Furthermore, House of Fraser will be donating all profits from the sale of carrier bags to the cause. To date, staff have raised over £62,000 since the Foundation’s inception in September 2016 with the aim to reach a target of over £500,000 by the foundations anniversary. Activities taking place in 2017 include the annual House of Fraser charity golf day and gala dinner, which is held annually in July.
80% of the population live within 10 miles of an Action for Children project where services provided range from supporting disabled children and young people to adoption and fostering and much more.
This March, House of Fraser Chairman, Frank Slevin will participate in the CEO Sleepout, and will be spending a night sleeping out in London’s Paternoster Square, to raise funds and highlight the vital work Action for Children are doing around homelessness.
